The Seven Chakras
Imagine the most beautiful rainbow you have ever seen. This is how our body looks like on the inside when all these 7 chakras work well. They will shine their colours so pure and bright that the interior x-ray of our body will look like am explosion of colours. This will also be reflected on the outside as well!

The base chakra is the starting point of our journey as it connects all the other chakras to the roots, to the beginnings. It is represented by the colour red and it is located at the very base of our spine. Imagine it as the roots of a plant or of a tree. If the plant has beautiful flowers or the leaves of the tree are healthy and green than, it means that they are healthily rooted in the ground. It happens the same with our body. We flourish if our roots are healed and healthy.

The sacral plexus chakra is orange and is located below the belly button, right in the area of the womb. It is the chakra of creation, of emotions, sensations and sexuality. When it works optimally we feel friendly ,open ,creative and empathic towards the others.

The solar plexus chakra is yellow and is located at the base of the rib cage in the middle of the abdomen. It is connected to the mental and it enables us to sense people’s vibrations and feelings. It involves personal power and self-control.

The heart chakra is the symbol of love as it is placed right in the middle of our chest. It is green and it has to do with love as depicted by feelings of empathy, forgiveness, compassion and trust.

The throat chakra is light blue and can be found at the base of our throat. It is the chakra of communication and self-expression through words. This chakra opens the way to our higher self through meditation.

The third eye chakra is situated on the forehead between our eyes. In some oriental cultures it is depicted by a dot raising awareness of the fact that our lives should also be guided by intuitive thought. Its colour is a vibrant indigo which stands as a reminder that we should trust our gut feeling and be open towards the unseen.

The crown chakra is the one that connects us with the higher powers, with our higher spiritual self. It is colourless, although it embodies shades of purple, pure white and gold.
